The sad state of the cyber

An FCC meeting, with the new chairman, Ajit Pai, on the left.

I wrote something for Jacobin about the new internet privacy bill that Trump just signed, why it matters, and how you can fight back. I also offered some thoughts on the limits of net neutrality, and what a left-wing agenda for internet governance might look like.

The piece also got picked up by The New York Times in their weekly roundup of "partisan" writing, whatever that means. The NYT describes my article as "against net neutrality," which isn't quite right.

Read the piece at Jacobin.
